GRANVILLE, OHIO — Transylvania University Women's Lacrosse fell to Carthage College 14-7 Friday in NCAA Tournament action.
Kaelin Truman opened the scoring for the Pioneers before Grace Bruner added a first-quarter goal to give Transylvania an early 2-1 lead. Carthage responded with four straight goals to take control of the match.
Sofie Garrett scored twice in the second quarter, including a man-up goal assisted by Avery Kirkhope, while Bruner added her second goal of the day as the Pioneers cut the deficit to 8-5 at halftime.
Carthage outscored Transylvania 5-0 in the third quarter to extend its lead before Layla Hobbs-Powell and Lily Bratcher each scored in the fourth.
Garrett and Bruner each finished with two goals, while Kirkhope recorded three assists. Ruby Himes made eight saves in goal for the Pioneers.
Transylvania concludes the season with a 10-8 overall record, claiming the 2026 HCAC Regular Season and Conference titles.
