Hailing from Lexington, Kentucky, Tyler Robinson-Lofton joins the Transylvania University basketball program with a solid background in both playing and coaching college basketball.
A graduate of Bryan Station High School in Lexington, Tyler went on to play at Midway University from 2019 to 2023, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management.
During his graduate year, Tyler served as a Graduate Assistant Coach for Midway’s basketball program in the 2023-2024 season. In this role, he took on responsibilities that included player development, creating scouting reports, breaking down film, practice planning, offensive strategy, and recruiting. His diverse skill set and experience in these key areas make him an invaluable asset to Transylvania’s coaching staff.
