Volunteer Assistant Coach

Andrew Hundley joins the Transylvania University softball team for his second season as a volunteer assistant coach in 2016-17. Hundley brings a successful and storied career with him to the Pioneers, having spent 12 years as a head coach. Hundley is currently the head softball coach at DuPont Manual High School in Louisville, Ky.

During his time at Manual, Hundley has guided the team to unprecedented success in the state. The Crimsons currently rank 10th all-time in the state of Kentucky with 518 wins and are one of just four teams to win multiple state championships (1997, 2000). The program has won three straight 25th District championships and a number of players who have played at the collegiate level.

Hundley is also an owner and operator of the D1 Hitting School, a group and private baseball/softball organization in Louisville. He is a certified Mike Epstein Hitting Instructor and has worked with a number of college and pro pupils, including Whitney Arion of the Pennsylvania Rebellion, Lauren Grant of Purdue University and Taylor Zuberer of Northern Kentucky University.
