CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) women's lacrosse teams competed in week one of the 2026 season.

Offensive Player of the Week
Avery Kirkhope (Lexington, Ky.) Transylvania University | Midfield | Sophomore -
Avery Kirkhope led the Transylvania offense with five goals and an assist in a midweek matchup against Capital. Kirkhope totaled only six shots in the game. Then, in an 11-9 victory against Wittenberg, Kirkhope found the back of the net twice on seven shot attempts, five of which were on goal.
Notable Performances:
- Julia Jarrells (Mason, Ohio) Hanover College | Midfield | Sophomore - Julia Jarrells led Hanover to a 5-4 victory over Huntingdon and a 1-1 week overall. The sophomore tallied what became the game-winning goal in the fourth quarter with 8:06 remaining. She finished the week with two goals on four shots. Julia collected two ground balls and one draw control.
- Grace Mitchell (St. Louis, Mo.) Spalding University | Midfield | Sophomore - Grace Mitchell tallied four goals and three assists in two games this week. She led SU to a 12-11 win over Huntingdon. She tallied 10 shots on goal across the two contests.
