    WOOSTER, Ohio - Transylvania allowed Wooster six first-half goals  Friday before tightening its defense in an 8-1 loss to the Scots in  college field hockey action.
Transy is 1-9 on the season while the Scots, winners of five of their last six matches, are 7-5.
The Pioneers have dropped their last five decisions, all on the road.
Transy played Wooster evenly over the final 35 minutes, getting its  lone goal from Brittany Rebalsky (Louisville, Ky.) in the 55th minute. Annie Donelan (Cincinnati, Ohio) had  the assist from the left side as Rebalsky redirected the ball into the  net.
Transy had 11 penalty corners to 10 for the Scots, who had a 17-6  edge in shots. Anna Melnykovych (Louisville, Ky.) was credited with three saves on the  night.
The Pioneers will complete their six-match road trip Saturday when  they travel to Kenyon. Transy's next home match comes on Oct. 23 against  Centre at Hall Field.
