LEXINGTON, Ky. - Transyvania allowed five goals to Rhodes in each half Saturday and the Lynx posted a 10-1 field hockey win at Hall Field.
Transy is 0-3 on the season while the Lynx are 4-1.
Transy freshman Caroline Durham (Louisville, Ky.) scored 10 minutes into the second half to put the Pioneers on the board. Lindsey Gurkovich had two goals for Rhodes, including the first of the game.
Chelsea McLeod scored the second goal for Rhodes for what turned out to be the game-winner. Taylor Mills had three scores and Katie Faucher two, including one with just eight seconds to play.
Rhodes had 32 shots to nine for the Pioneers. Transy keeper Anna Melnykovych (Louisville, Ky.) was credited with 10 saves in goal.
The Pioneers are back in action on Sunday, hosting Hendrix at noon.
