ANDERSON, Ind. – Transylvania's men's tennis team rebounded from its first Heartland Conference loss in nine years Saturday by sweeping a pair of league decisions against Anderson and Franklin.

The Pioneers defeated host Anderson 5-0 before taking a 6-1 decision against the Grizzlies.

The Pioneers improved to 7-4 on the season, 6-1 in HCAC play. They lost to Earlham last weekend, ending their record-setting HCAC win streak at 68 matches in a row.

Transy is tied with Earlham in the HCAC race. Both teams trail 7-1 Rose-Hulman.

The Pioneers are back in action on Wednesday, hosting Mt. St. Joseph at 4 p.m. in an HCAC match at the Transy Tennis Complex. The HCAC tournament is set for next Friday and Saturday at the West Indy Racquet Club. The Pioneers have won the conference title for the last eight years in a row.
