DELAWARE, Ohio - Transylvania gave up a pair of second half goals Wednesday and dropped a tight 4-1 decision to Ohio Wesleyan in college field hockey action.
The Pioneers are 2-1 while the Bishops of the Ohio Athletic Conference are 1-1.
After Ohio Wesleyan took an early 2-0 lead just five minutes into the contest, the two teams battled on an even basis.
The Pioneers got back in the game on a goal by
Caroline Mrowiec (Lake Bluff, IL, Home School), who found the net off an assist by
Sara Clark (Louisville, KY, Mercy Academy) with 10 minutes left in the opening half. Clark found Mrowiec off a penalty corner from the left side.
Ohio Wesleyan scored twice in the second half, at the 60:38 and 65:29, off a deflection and a rebound.

Sara Aschbacher (Louisville, KY, Sacred Heart Academy) had 10 saves in goal.
Transy is back in action on Sunday, meeting Wooster in its home opener at Hall Field at 11 a.m.
