MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Rhodes scored a pair of first-half goals Sunday and went on to a 3-0 field hockey win over Transylvania in Southern Athletic Association action.
The Pioneers are 1-10, 0-6 in SAA play, while the Lynx are 8-3 and lead the conference with a 7-0 mark.

Sydney Katz were singled out by head coach Tiffany Underhill as having turned in strong performances during the contesst.
Rhodes had 30 shots during the contest compared to two for the Pioneers. Transy also took four penalty corners to 15 for the Lynx. Aschbacher had 26 saves for Transy and
Lydia Lee added one defensive save.
The Pioneers are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Louisville's Sacred Heart Academy to take on DePauw in a 4:30 p.m. matchup.

CONWAY, Ark. - Transylvania allowed only a single first-half goal Saturday, but was unable to generate enough offense to overcome homestanding Hendrix, falling 1-0 in field hockey action.
The Pioneers are 1-9 overall, 0-5 in Southern Athletic Association play. Hendrix improves to 6-3, 4-1 in the conference, after getting the win on a cold, rainy day.
Transy had three shots compared 14 for Warriors. The margin was just 4-1 in shots on goal. Transy also had three penalty corners while Hendrix took 13 tries. One of the Pioneers corners came in the last minute of the contest.
Transy's defense held Hendrix out of the scoring column for the final 45 minutes of the contest.
Molly Dean had a pair of defensive saves for the Pioneers and
Sara Aschbacher had three saves in goal.
The Pioneers are back in action on Sunday, when they travel to Rhodes for a 12 p.m. contest.
