TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Transylvania's men's tennis team kept its perfect Heartland Conference record intact Sunday, knocking off Rose-Hulman 5-4 and Bluffton 9-0 on the Engineers' courts.
The Pioneers are 9-6, 6-0 in HCAC play after topping Rose-Hulman 5-4 and Bluffton 9-0. Rose-Hulman is 3-3 in conference play and 7-7 overall. Transy actually defeated Bluffton 7-0 but the match was counted as a forfeit score of 9-0 when the Beavers failed to field a complete team.
Transy won three HCAC matches in two days. On Saturday, the Pioneers blanked Defiance, 9-0.
Transy is back in action on Wednesday when it travels to Mount St. Joseph. The Pioneers host HCAC co-leader Earlham on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Pioneer Tennis Complex.
