Lexington, Ky. – The No. 4 Transylvania women's basketball team has added a new game to its schedule versus the Wilmington College Quakers, set for Wednesday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Beck Center.

With multiple conference opponents cancelling successive matchups due to covid protocols, the Pioneers have been idle since their last contest on December 21. Their next scheduled game against Mount St. Joseph, previously scheduled for January 12, was also cancelled due to opponent covid protcols.

The Pioneers (10-0, 2-0 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference) will host Wilmington (7-7 overall) in a rare January nonconference matchup at home. The contest will mark the Pioneers' first game in over three weeks.

Due to the current surge in COVID-19 cases in Fayette County and across the region, and in the interest of the health and safety of the Transylvania University students, faculty, and staff members and surrounding communities, the University is temporarily prohibiting all spectators from attending indoor home athletic competitions until further notice.

Fans can watch Wednesday's game, which will be aired live online via the Transy Sports Network.
