In the first round match of the NCAA Regional, #16 Transy Volleyball defeated Randolph-Macon College 3-0. The Pioneers left no doubt of their dominance, especially with the final set ending 25-9. Additionally, they only saw four lead changes with just a couple in the first few points of sets one and three, no lead changes at all in set two.
"We did a good job stopping the ball at the net tonight. We served well to get them out of system and had eight service aces," said Head Coach Amy Barmore. "Super proud of how we showed up. We settled in and finished strong. Once we settled our nerves our confidence came out. This team showed out tonight and is ready for the challenge tomorrow night."
The Pioneers advance to round two against Emory November 11th, at 8:00 PM in the Beck Center.
