In the finale of the Pat Deacon Classic, #2 Transy Women's Basketball defeated Denison 73-56 to claim the championship. Senior Dasia Thornton earned the Pat Deacon Classic MVP honors for her play over both games this weekend. 

• Dasia Thornton- led the Pioneers with 20 points and 9 rebounds

• Kennedi Stacy- 15 points, 5 rebounds

• Maddie Kellione- 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4-4 on free throws

• Laken Ball- 11 points, 7 rebounds

"We take tremendous pride in playing in the Pat Deacon Thanksgiving Tournament each year. Our team understands the responsibility of representing Transy in a manner that is worthy of her service to the institution. In a year celebrating 50 years of Title IX, it is important to both be grateful for the opportunity to play and make sure we continue opening doors for others… like Coach Deacon did for us," said Head Coach Dr. Juli Fulks. 

The Pioneers move to 4-0 on the season and look forward to HCAC matchups the rest of the week. They will play Franklin at home on November 30th at 7:00 PM before hitting the road for a matchup with Rose-Hulman on Saturday December 3rd at 1:00 PM.
