After finishing the HCAC regular season undefeated 9-0, the Pioneers hosted the HCAC Tournament as the number one seed in the tournament. They downed Rose-Hulman in the semifinals and then defeated MSJ in the championship match today, both 3-0 to earn their fourth straight HCAC Championship and berth to the NCAA Tournament.
In the last week, Transy Volleyball has earned a plethora of accolades leading up to the championship.
Following the HCAC Championship win, the Pioneers earned more accolades:
"We did a good job defensively by holding them to just 13 kills. Overall we had a nice offensive game and served well to keep them out of system. Super proud of how we showed up today. Our goal was to win this thing this year and they showed up to play. Our goals aren't complete just yet. We are ready for the NCAA tournament and what it may bring," said Head Coach Amy Barmore.
The selection show will be tomorrow, November 7th at 12:00 PM. The Pioneers will find out where and when they will start the NCAA Tournament with their first game this Thursday.
