DELAWARE, Oh. - Transy Field hockey continued their NCAC portion of the season, falling to Ohio Wesleyan 5-0.
The Bishops controlled the pace of play, getting 22 shots on goal and 16 penalty corners to Transy's 1. The loss is the fifth in a row for Transy, who falls to 3-8 on the season. The Pioneers have struggled to find the back of the cage as of late.
Libby Bringard had 17 saves on the night, the most for her this season. She kept the Bishops scoreless for nearly 20 minutes before OWU got the first goal past her. Bringard kept Transy in the game, holding OWU to one goal entering the second half. Ohio Wesleyan scored 4of their 5 goals in the second half.
Transy (3-8, 0-3 NCAC) will start a two game home stand this weekend, facing Kenyon College on Saturday at 11 AM and Concordia Wisconsin on Sunday at 11 AM.
