LEXINGTON - Transy Field Hockey fell to Kenyon 1-3 on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers struck first, but Kenyon scored 3 unanswered goals to get the win.
Before the game, three Transylvania Field Hockey seniors and one fifth year senior were honored before the game.
Madison Mullan,
Catherine Harney,
Grace Smilek, and
Sophia Sparks were celebrated before the game with their family, coaches, and teammates.

Emily Long broke Transy's 4 game goalless skid right away, getting her only shot of the day past the Owls' goalkeeper for the first goal of the game at the 3 minute mark. It's the third goal of the season for Long.
Sidney Aldridge earned her 16th point of the season with the assist to Long.
Although Transy was earned 3 penalty corners, they could only get 1 shot off the entire game. The Owls were able to stop the Pioneers' offense in tough moments.
Kenyon answered Long's goal just 4 minutes later, tying the game. Neither team could put on into the goal the rest of the half, with
Libby Bringard stepping up and making saves off Kenyon's opportunities.
The Owls scored just 5 minutes into the second half, and then again with just under 5 minutes to play in the game to put the Pioneers away. Despite opportunities, Transy couldn't get anything going inside the circle.
Transy moves to 3-9 on the season and 0-4 in the NCAC. They'll have a quick turnaround with Concordia-Wisconsin coming to town for an 11 AM matchup tomorrow at Pat Deacon Stadium.
