LEXINGTON - Transylvania Women's Lacrosse has earned several honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Associations (IWLCA).
After posting a 12-5, 6-0 2023 season, capturing the HCAC regular season and tournament championship and advancing to the NCAA tournament, the awards keep piling on the Pioneers. Women's Lacrosse has earned their place on the 2023 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad list. The Pioneers were one of two teams from the HCAC on the list, joining Anderson University.
The IWLCA also honored 963 student-athletes from 173 different institutions on the 2023 IWLCA DIII Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Claire Duck, an Elementary Education major, Senior
Vianne Koshoffer, an International Affairs major, Senior
Abbey Peterson, a Business Administration/Marketing major, Senior
Mandi Rider, a Neuroscience/Sociology major, Senior
Sophia Sparks, an English/French major, and Senior
Abi Waldron, a Business Administration/Communications major all earned their spots on the Academic Honor Roll.
"I'm extremely proud of our team for being named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad List. They put in so much hard work and effort in the classroom and the field," Head Coach Rachael Bragg said. "I am also proud of the 6 players who made the honor roll. This team exemplifies what it means to be true student-athletes."
