LEXINGTON - Transy Field Hockey lost their first conference matchup of the season, moving to 3-5 on the season and 0-1 in NCAC play. The Pioneers dropped their Saturday conference opener to Allegheny College 0-1.

Transy gave up the lone goal of the game in the second quarter. Libby Bringard finishes the game with four saves.

Emily Long and Maddy Morgan had the only shots on goal for Transy. The Pioneers struggled to get the ball past the Gator's goalkeeper.

The Gators outshot Transy 5-4 and had seven penalty corners to the Pioneers' one.

Transy (3-5, 0-1) have a quick turnaround and another NCAC matchup tomorrow afternoon against Washington and Jefferson. It's the first ever matchup in program history vs the Presidents.
