The 7-0 run featured three kills from Kayden Holcomb and an ace from Megan Sweeney. The second set featured a competitive exchange with each team struggling to build on an advantage. A kill from Isabella Myers, two kills from Addie Atcher and two more kills from Kayden Holcomb would give Transy another run similar to their first set stretch to take a 22-14 lead. Scheper would score the final point for the set, assisted by Grace Ward, to win 25-17. Anderson would find their offense in the third set, making an extended run to take a 15-7 lead that they would hold onto, closing a 25-15 set three win. The Pioneers would respond in set four with Lilly Kaiser's kill sparking another Transy run. Sweeney, Holcomb and Scheper would follow to take an 18-12 lead. Scheper would close the set with a kill to win 25-18, securing a 3-1 victory.

"We were able to regroup in the fourth set and get back to what we do against a great defensive Anderson team," said Head Coach Amy Barmore. "Kayden Holcomb led us with 15 kills, hitting .270. Grace Ward had 45 assists and Ava Beltsos had a season high of 30 digs."

Two Pioneers reached significant career milestones in the match with Anderson.

"We had some huge milestones in this match. Cate Scheper reached 1,500 career kills and Grace Ward reached 5,000 career assists," Barmore said. "This is a huge deal for these two and I am super proud of them!"

Alma College

Transy opened the first set with Alma with an impressive start. Kills from Cate Scheper, Lilly Kaiser and Isabella Myers, along with an ace from Ava Beltsos, ignited a 9-2 opening run. Grace Ward's ace would give Transy a 16-10 lead, followed by another burst of offense to extend the advantage to 20-12. Three of the final four points in set one would come from Kayden Holcomb, while Scheper would close the set with a kill to secure the win 25-15. The Pioneers opened the second set with a kill from Scheper and two consecutive aces from Grace Ward. A kill from Atcher would give Transy a 10-3 lead that they would never surrender, going on to win 25-16. Transy would open set three with one of their most impressive offensive stretches of the afternoon, opening with a 9-0 run, featuring kills from Kaiser and Scheper, and an ace from Beltsos. Kaiser would secure the 25-10 set victory with a kill, giving Transy a 3-0 win.

"This was a solid team match," said Barmore. "We settled back in and focused on our first ball contact. When we are on, we are really on! We hit .429 as a team, led by Cate Scheper with 15 kills on zero errors, hitting .556. Kayden Holcomb and Lilly Kaiser added eight kills on two errors, both hitting .500. Ave and Grace both added a combined seven aces. Ava started the match with nine straight serves. We have a big week coming up and we are ready to get back to it!"
