LEXINGTON- The Transylvania Men's Tennis team celebrates Senior Day this weekend in their decisive win over Berea College. The Pioneers would handle the Bears in a 9-0 win.

The day started with the recognition of 5 seniors being; Jared Wells, Elijah Skaggs, Paul Hughes, Jack Dodds, and Arjun Gupta. These Seniors have impacted the Men's Tennis program immensely these past years on and off the court setting the new standard of play and team culture. 

Moving to the matches the Pioneers would sweep losing no matches on the day as #1 Doubles was won by the senior duo of Jared Wells and Elijah Skaggs who won 8-1. In #2 Doubles the duo of Jack Dodds and Arjun Gupta would win 8-0, finalized by a #3 Doubles win after forfeit. 

In Singles today the Pioneers would win each match as 31 Singles was won by Arjun Gupta, after dropping the first set he would win in the deciding 3rd set, going 4-6, 7-5, 1-0. In #2 Singles Jared Wells would come out on top also having 3 sets losing the first then picking up the remaining going 4-6, 6-0, 1-0. In #3 Singles Ty Crabtree would win 6-2, 6-1 in decisive fashion, followed by a #4 Singles win as Jack Dodds would win 6-1, and 6-0. Rounded out with Paul Hughes, winning 6-1, 6-0 before #6 Singles was forfeited to the Pioneers.

The Men's Tennis team will jump back into HCAC play facing Anderson University at home, back at Top Seed Tennis Club April 6th at 11AM.
