LEXINGTON- The Transylvania Men's Tennis team was back in action at Top Seed Tennis Club as the Pioneers dominated the Anderson University Ravens 8-1. The Pioneers are coming off a week hiatus after defeating Berea College last time out 9-0. This sets the Pioneers at a 2 match win streak following Spring Break. Today was a historic day as Sixth Year Senior Arjun Gupta would earn his 100th career match win!

The Pioneers would put the metal to the pedal today as Doubles would be swept by the Pioneers today. In #1 Doubles Arjun Gupta and Chris Kaufmann would take care of business in a quick 8-0 victory. In #2 Doubles the duo of Jordan Cordrey and Eli Skaggs would win 8-4, followed by a #3 Doubles victory as Jared Wells and Jacob Jiranek, winning 8-1. 

The Pioneers would only drop #1 Singles and go on to sweep the remainder of the matches to earn the team win. In #2 Singles Arjun Gupta would earn his 100th career match win after a decisive 6-4, 6-3 match win. This is an accomplishment that will not be duplicated soon as Gupta holds the most wins in both Doubles and Singles on the active roster. In #3 Singles Eli Skaggs would win a close 6-3, 7-6 match, followed by Alejandro Perez winning a quick 6-1, 6-1 match in #4 Singles. In #5 Singles Chase Moreman would win 6-1, 6-3. Singles was capped off with a #5 Singles win as Jacob Jiranek would win 6-3, 6-4. 

This sets the Pioneers on a small break until they defend home court against Asbury University, Saturday April 20th at 1PM.
