LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania battled to a tie with Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) member Rose-Hulman on Saturday at Pat Deacon Stadium.Â
McKenna Johnson found the first shot opportunity in the first half for the Pioneers, but RHIT's Brooke Spurlock would deflect the shot and save the goal for the Fighting Engineers.
Carrie Stevens deflected a shot on goal from RHIT's Lauren Marquardt in the first half. Stevens would earn five saves in the goal for the Pioneers in the first half.
Olivia Thomas took an early shot attempt in the second half, but the shot would be saved by RHIT. The Pioneers would take three additional shots in the second half, but ultimately would not score as they remain tied at zero with RHIT.Â
Carrie Stevens recorded 13 saves on the afternoon for the Pioneers, spending the duration of the 90:00 in the goal.Â
Transylvania returns to Pat Deacon Stadium on Wednesday, October 22nd, hosting HCAC member Hanover at 7:00 p.m.
