BEREA, KY - The Transylvania Pioneers earn a conference road victory on Wednesday night after beating Berea College, 3-0.Â
Transylvania won the opening set 25-15, after going on a 5-1 run to start the match. A pair of aces by
Alex O'Connor sparked a Transylvania run, that carried out through the remainder of the first set. The Pioneers continued their success in the second set, after battling back from a Berea run. A kill by
Macy Lentz kick started the offense. Transylvania would go on to score 13 unanswered points to take a 18-9 lead. The Pioneers closed out the second set 25-15. Transylvania started the third set on a 7-2 run. Both teams exchanged points back and forth, until a
Cecelia Roberts kill would start another impressive 10-3 run. Transylvania would go on win set three 25-15.Â
Lilly Kaiser led the Pioneers in kills with 11, followed by 8 from
Addison Jarvis and 7 from
Isabella Myers.
Julia Brown led with 15 digs and
Isabella Myers recorded 10.
Kennedy Beatty tallied 4 aces, with
Isabella Myers and Alex O'Conner adding two.
Macy Lentz led with 33 assists.Â
