NORTH MANCHESTER, IN - Transylvania earned another Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) win on Wednesday, picking up a road win at Manchester, 57-55.

Raegan Barrett scored the first five points of the game for the Pioneers in a competitive first quarter. Despite a couple of strong fast break drives from Makya Grinter and Sierra Kemelgor, the Pioneers trailed Manchester entering the second quarter after a three-pointer landed for the Spartans in the closing seconds of the first, 13-11. Kemelgor scored the first two baskets for Transylvania in the second quarter before a three-pointer from Keaton Hall connected to give the Pioneers an 18-13 lead. Grace Bruner would also score from three-point range in the second quarter, as Transylvania took a 22-22 lead into the halftime break.

The lead exchanged hands several times, including a tie score twice, in the third quarter before Hannah Glisson scored a three-pointer to give the Pioneers the advantage, 33-30. Barrett scored in the post while Glisson knocked down another three in the closing moments of the third quarter. Transylvania took a nine point lead into the fourth quarter. Manchester scored on consecutive possessions to start the fourth quarter, cutting their deficit down to three. Chloe McKnight and Riley Flinn stopped the run, scoring consecutive baskets for the Pioneers. Transylvania closed Manchester out in the final two minutes, as Kemelgor scored with 01:31 remaining to put the Pioneers up five. Manchester would score a late three, but Transylvania held on to take the 57-55 win.
