ORLANDO, FL -
Katherine Taylor reached a milestone victory on Thursday, reaching her 100th career win at Transylvania. She is the first Pioneer in recent history to reach the milestone.Â
Taylor earned the win in singles competition (6-1, 6-0) against Central College's Madi Whalen in Orlando. She proceeded to earn her 101st win in doubles with
Maria Hayes (6-0) against Lauren Gano and Emma Murphy.Â
"Very proud of Katherine on this huge achievement," said Head Coach
Bill Carey. "She has been almost unstoppable on the court for Transylvania for four years while being an exceptional student as well. She has helped lead Transylvania to regional prominence and our first ever NCAA win. Congratulations to her and shout out to some great doubles partners along the way. It takes a team and they share in this achievement as well."
Taylor will have an opportunity to continue adding to her career victories, returning to action on Friday against Wheaton College.Â
