LEXINGTON, KY – The Transylvania Women's Tennis team was named an All-Academic team, while twelve Pioneers were named scholar athletes as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released their All-Academic honors on Wednesday.

Abby Collins,
Meredith Cooper,
Lilly Hartman,
Maria Hayes,
Ellie Held,
Josie Kaminski,
Abigail Kuban,
Paulina Razo-Zapata,
Kaitlynn Shaffer,
Katherine Taylor and
Maddy Williams were all recognized as ITA Scholar Athletes. To meet the criteria, a student-athlete must have a grade-point average of at least a 3.5 on a 4.00 scale for the current academic year.

Transylvania was recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team, meeting the criteria of having a team grade point average of at least a 3.2 or above on a 4.00 scale and all varsity letter winners are factored into the cumulative GPA for the current academic year.

Bill Carey, Head Coach. "Haven't lost a conference match in five years, conference championships, a win in the NCAA tournament and what really stands out is the amazing academic record that is consistently among the highest on campus. They amaze me and deserve all the praise."
