MEQUON, WI - Transylvania opened the 2025 campaign on Friday, traveling for a match up with Concordia Wisconsin.
Lucy Cohen would score for the Pioneers, but Transylvania would fall 3-1.Â
After a scoreless first quarter, Kaitlin Baylen of Concordia Wisconsin, scored the first goal of the afternoon at the 28 minute mark. They would carry the 1-0 lead into halftime. Cohen would start the second half with the first Pioneer goal of the season at the 34 minute mark to tie the score at 1-1, assisted by
Charlotte Thompson. Concordia Wisconsin would respond with another goal in the third period to retake a 2-1 advantage, ultimately scoring again in the fourth to secure the victory, 3-1.Â
Peyton Steinriede recorded two saves in the goal for the Pioneers.Â
Transylvania's season opening road trip continues on Sunday, as they take on Marian University at 1:00 p.m.
