LEXINGTON, KY - The Transylvania Pioneers hosted the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops on Tuesday night. In a competitive match up, Transylvania battled to a 1-1 draw. 

The Battling Bishops offense started hot scoring a goal within the first four minutes of the opening kickoff. Transylvania's Olivia Thomas and Mckenna Johnson responded with two shots of their own. The Pioneer offense continued to press with two shots from Isabella White. In the 41st minute, Eva Blanke found the back of the net to bring the score back to level. 

Ohio Wesleyan came out of the break, with another shot on goal that was saved by Carrie Stevens. The Pioneer offense controlled most of the second half. Transylvania earned a corner in the 77th minute, that resulted in a Mckenna Johnson shot being saved. Another Johnson shot hit the post in the 80th minute. The Pioneers final attempt came in the 89th minute. 

"We are continuing to get better at off the ball movement and group defending and when those things happen confidence comes." stated Head Coach Trip Rogers. "With that confidence we came out and dictated the play in the second half and that's something we will continue to build on day after day.".

Transylvania is back in action on Saturday against Bluffton University. The Pioneers will be celebrating Senior Day pregame, with kick-off being set for 1 PM. Live stats and video will be available on transysports.com.
