LEXINGTON, KY - Kenyon outlasted the Pioneers in their home opener Saturday, claiming the victory 7-0 at Pat Deacon Stadium.Â
Kenyon scored two goals in the opening half - one in each quarter - to take the 2-0 lead into the halftime break. Henny Maher scored both for Kenyon. Maren Lawrence scored three goals for Kenyon in the second half, with Kenyon scoring five overall in the third and fourth quarters, to take the 7-0 victory.Â
Peyton Steinriede recorded five saves in the goal for Transylvania, while
Ruby Himes recorded two.
Lucy Cohen found two scoring opportunities, taking two shots on goal.Â
Transylvania returns to action on Saturday, October 4th, traveling to Sewanee for a 1:00 p.m. match up. They will also take on Meredith College on day two of their road trip on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
