LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania Women's Basketball won their home game 76-48 against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Rose-Hulman at the Clive M. Beck Center.

Riley Flinn was the leading scorer for the Pioneers with 24 points. Flinn added six rebounds and five assists on the afternoon.
Grace Bruner was the leading rebounder for the Pioneers with seven rebounds.

Transylvania started slow while Rose-Hulman was leading 4-1 over the Pioneers in the first few minutes. Transylvania took control afterwards and the Pioneers were leading 10-6 at the 6:00 minute mark in the first quarter. The Pioneers still held the edge over the visiting Fightin' Engineers 16-7 with less than three minutes left in the quarter. The Pioneers expanded their lead and held a 22-10 edge over the Fightin' Engineers at the end of the first quarter.

The Pioneers carried over the same focus from the first quarter and expanded their lead even more with a 29-10 edge with six minutes left in the first half. The Pioneer's defense was everywhere forcing the Fightin' Engineers to not score in the second quarter until almost the 4:00 minute mark. This allowed Transylvania to jump out to a 25-point lead. Transylvania held a 39-21 edge at halftime.
Riley Flinn was the leading scorer for the Pioneers in the first half with 18 points. The Pioneers shot 38.2 percent from the floor and 18.2 percent beyond the arc in the first half.

Transylvania brought the same focus from the first half and were leading by 20 points with less than five minutes left in the third quarter. The Pioneers were still leading after three quarters with a 57-35 edge. Transylvania won 76-48 and now are 11-3 on the season and 6-1 in conference play. The Pioneers shot 41.4 percent from the floor and 29.2 percent beyond the arc.
