HANOVER, IND. — Transylvania closed out the regular season with a dominant fourth-quarter performance, defeating Hanover 69–62 on Wednesday night inside John Collier Arena.

Sierra Kemelgor led the Pioneers with 20 points, going a perfect 12-for-12 from the free-throw line, while adding four rebounds and four steals. Chloe McKnight contributed 14 points and five rebounds, and Raegan Barrett added 11 points, including three three-pointers. Makya Grinter chipped in seven points and five steals as Transylvania forced 21 Hanover turnovers.

Hanover held a narrow 26–22 lead at halftime and extended its advantage to 42–38 entering the fourth quarter. The Pioneers responded with a decisive 31-point final period, shooting 58 percent from the field in the quarter and converting 15-of-19 free throws down the stretch.

Trailing 61–60 with under two minutes remaining, Barrett knocked down a go-ahead three-pointer with 46 seconds left to give Transylvania the lead for good. Kemelgor sealed the victory at the free-throw line, hitting four clutch foul shots in the final 18 seconds to secure the 69–62 win.

Transylvania finished with a 41–35 rebounding advantage and held Hanover to just 3-of-8 shooting from the free-throw line.

With the victory, the Pioneers improve to 21–4 overall and 16–2 in HCAC play heading into postseason competition.
