LEXINGTON, KY. — Transylvania capped Senior Day with a 75–61 win over Bluffton in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play at the Clive M. Beck Center.
Hunter Barr delivered his seventh double-double of the season, scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Drew Marshall anchored the glass with a dominant 19-rebound performance, while Jaxon Smith added 11 points and Ian Reesor finished with 10.
Offense was scarce early, with the teams deadlocked at 2–2 through the first five minutes. Transylvania settled in behind Barr, who scored nine of the Pioneers' first 11 points to help build a 22–16 lead entering the final stretch of the half. A late surge pushed the margin to 14, and behind Barr's 20 first-half points, the Pioneers took a 36–22 advantage into halftime. Barr and Marshall each collected seven rebounds in the opening frame as Transylvania held Bluffton to just 22 points.
The Pioneers extended their lead to 19 early in the second half and maintained control throughout, holding a 60–44 lead with five minutes remaining. Transylvania closed out the 14-point victory while shooting 35.9 percent from the floor, improving to 14–8 overall and 10–4 in HCAC play.
