LEXINGTON, KY — Transylvania defeated Muskingum, 22-5, at Pat Deacon Stadium on senior day. The Pioneers celebrated their lone senior, Jayden Otto, prior to the game. 

Transylvania were led by Kaelin Truman, who scored six goals during the win while Avery Kirkhope led with four assists. The Pioneers finished with 40 shots, including 26 on goal, while making six saves and committing five turnovers. The Pioneers also recorded 17 clears and 19 ground balls.

Transylvania scored three early goals including the 100th goal for Sofie Garrett. Layla Hobbs-Powell scored her second goal on the afternoon to make the score 4-1. With a goal by Kaelin Truman, the Pioneers were leading 6-1 after the first. Truman scored twice in the early second quarter to make the lead 8-1. Truman scored her fifth goal to give the Pioneers 12-3 lead at halftime. 

Transylvania scored quick goals after halftime from Hobbs-Powell and Kirkhope to make the score 14-3. Truman scored her six goal to gave the Pioneers the 19-3 lead after third quarters. The Pioneers closed out the game with three goals in the final period including from senior Jayden Otto to secure the 22–5 victory. In the victory, freshman goalkeeper Ruby Himes recorded her 100th career save, along with six saves in the win. 

The win improves Transylvania to 5-7 on the season. The Pioneers return home on Sunday, March 29, to face Trine University. Face-off is set for 12:00 p.m.
