Pioneers Close Regular Season With Win at Earlham

RICHMOND, IN — Transylvania rolled to a 20–2 win over Earlham on Saturday afternoon at Darrell Beane Stadium.

The Pioneers took control early, scoring eight goals in the first quarter and adding five more in the second to build a 13–1 halftime lead. Transylvania continued to dominate in the second half, outscoring Earlham 7–1 to secure the victory.

Huck Campbell and Charlie Horner led the offensive effort with four goals each, while Aven Blair, Andrew Welch and Jack Miller each added two goals. Samuel Archer, Alex Vennari, Braden Antle, Noah Siler, Jack McKiernan and Josh Harney each found the back of the net. Welch paced the Pioneers with five assists, while McKiernan added two. Campbell, Horner, Harney, Antle and Miller each recorded an assist.

Transylvania controlled possession throughout the contest, winning 23 faceoffs and holding a 75–16 advantage in total shots.

In goal, Nick DeGrandi earned the win, recording five saves in 30 minutes of action. Zack Carrico and Ethan Kroll combined for three saves in relief.

Transylvania improves to 10–4 overall and 3–0 in HCAC play. The Pioneers will compete in the HCLC Tournament beginning on Saturday, April 25th, with the semifinal round being hosted by Spalding. The HCLC Championship game will take place at Pat Deacon Stadium on Sunday, April 26th. Stay tuned to TransySports.com for more information about the HCLC Tournament.
