ANDERSON, IN - Transylvania University's women's golf team remains in position to compete for an HCAC Championship after two rounds at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship at Anderson Country Club in Anderson, Indiana. The Pioneers enter the final round tied for first place with Rose-Hulman at 683 after posting rounds of 344 and 339.
Sophomore
Nicole Mears led the way for Transylvania through 36 holes, carding rounds of 82 and 83 for a two-day total of 165. Mears sits in fifth place individually entering the final round.
Freshman
Ginger Mooser is tied for eighth after rounds of 84 and 86 for a 170 total, while fellow freshman
Addilyn Johnson is in 11th place at 173. Johnson fired a career-low round of 83 on Saturday after opening with a 90 on Friday.
Freshman
Emery Herron is tied for 13th place with a 175 total following rounds of 88 and 87, and freshman
Macy Saylor is tied for 16th at 178 after improving from a 90 in round one to an 88 in round two.
The Pioneers made up ground during the second round with a five-shot improvement as a team and will enter Sunday's final round tied atop the team standings with Rose-Hulman in pursuit of the conference title.
