LEXINGTON, KY — The Transylvania University Men's Golf Team secured an 8th-place finish in a highly competitive field at the 2024 Rhodes Collegiate Invitational. Despite entering the final round in 4th place with a score of +12, the Pioneers struggled in the final round to finish at +35 overall, ending their pursuit of a fourth consecutive Top 5 finish this fall season.
Leading the Pioneers were senior Tyler Allred and junior Tom Buchert, both of whom tied for 21st with a score of +6. Their consistency kept Transylvania competitive throughout the tournament. William Carr delivered a strong showing as well, tying for 29th at +8. JD Collins and Connor Calhoun faced challenging rounds, finishing 62nd and 65th, respectively.
Playing individually, Ryan Ennis impressed with a solid start, shooting 72 in the opening round and ultimately finishing with a +9.

After four consecutive weekends of tournament play, the Pioneers will take a much-needed break before traveling to Atlanta for the West Pines Invitational, hosted by Oglethorpe University.
