LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania (+4) stands in third place behind McDaniel (-4) and Rose-Hulman (+2) after day one of the 2025 Fall Invitational.
Tom Buchert opened strong with a 2-under-par first round but struggled in the second with a 2-over, bringing him back to even-par-overall. Buchert will need a solid weekend to climb the leader board. Ty Ruttinger has showed consistency, balancing an over-par (+1) first round with a 1-under second round to also sit at even par overall.
Freshman, Andy Steed, was even after round one but faltered slightly in the second with a +2 round, placing him at 2-over-par. He'll be looking to regain momentum in the coming rounds. Seth Hickerson came out hot with a 1-under opening round but followed it up with a 3-over in round two, finishing at 2-over-par overall. William Carr has faced challenges in both rounds, going +1 and +3 to sit at 4-over-bar. He'll need a strong finish to make a move up the leader board.
The Transylvania Pioneers will continue to battle throughout the weekend and continue to climb the leaderboards.
