LEXINGTON, KY - The Transylvania men's golf team delivered a dramatic comeback on the final day of the Transylvania Fall Invite at the University Club of Kentucky, rallying from eight shots back with six holes to play to capture the team title.
Freshman Seth Hickerson provided the clinching moment, rolling in a birdie on his final hole to seal the victory. In his first collegiate event, Hickerson finished with four birdies and an eagle in his final round and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Sophomore William Carr led the Pioneers on Sunday with a steady five-birdie performance, carding a 2-under-par round to pace Transylvania's charge.
Transylvania had strong performances down the stretch, as senior Tom Buchert and freshman Andy Steed each played their final seven holes at even par, helping steady the lineup during the decisive stretch.
With the strong closing push, Transylvania finished at 870 (+6), edging McDaniel by three shots to claim the championship at the 2025 Transy Fall Invite.
