DEMOREST, Ga. - Piedmont grabbed a 9-4 lead at halftime Tuesday and when on to hand Transylvania a 19-9 loss in women's lacrosse action.
The Pioneers lost for the first time in four matches while the Lions improve to 6-0 on the year.
Transy was led by
Aubrey Bausum and
Sky Spraker, who each scored four goals.
Caroline Mrowiec had the Pioneers' other score.
Keeper
Lydia Shaughnessy had three saves.
Piedmont had a 31-20 edge in shots and a 13-12 advantage in ground balls. Transy had 20 turnovers to 16 for Piedmont.
Transy will play its first home game of the year on Saturday, taking on Berry College at noon at Bryan Station High School.
