Box Score DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre jumped to a 15-2 halftime lead Wednesday and went on to a 19-8 men's lacrosse victory over Transylania.

The Pioneers are 7-5 after seeing their three-game winning streak come to an end while the Colonels improve to 7-2

Transy's Clay Douthat scored four goals in the contest while Ben Erwin added two. Sam Ives and Zach Maughmer each scored a goal to round out the scoring.

Centre outscored the Pioneers 2-0 in the third period and Transy held a 4-2 advantage over the final 15 minutes.

Transy keeper Joshua Slone had 10 saves in goal.

Centre had a 46-25 edge in shots for the game and a 35-25 edge in ground balls. Transy had 28 turnovers to 27 for the Colonels.

The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Wilmington.
