Lucy Cohen scored a third quarter goal to tie Wittenberg on Saturday, but the Pioneers would fall short after a late third quarter goal from the Tigers.
Wittenberg's Lauren Singery scored the first goal of the afternoon at the 7:57 mark to give the Tigers a 1-0 advantage.Â
Charlotte Thompson took the first shot for the Pioneers at the mid way point of the second quarter, but couldn't connect.
Ruby Himes saved a shot on goal from Wittenberg minutes later, and would save two additional shots, including one in the final moments of the half, as Transylvania trailed 1-0 at the halftime break.
Caroline Seaward opened the second half with a penalty corner attempt that led to a goal for Transylvania's
Lucy Cohen in the opening minutes of the third quarter to tie the Tigers at 1-1, but just two minutes later Singery would score again for Wittenberg, to retake the lead.

Lucy Cohen and
Audrey Greenberg would find shot opportunities in the third quarter, but ultimately wouldn't connect, Himes would record another three saves in the quarter. Neither team would attempt a shot in a competitive fourth quarter, with Wittenberg ultimately taking the victory at 2-1.Â
