CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Golf teams competed in week seven of the 2025-26 season. Transylvania Senior, Tom Buchert, wins HCAC Golfer of the Week for the second time this year after a career weekend at GolfWeek October Classic in Destin, Florida. 
 
Athlete of the Week: 
Tom Buchert (Cincinnati, Ohio) Transylvania University | Senior - Tom Buchert led the Pioneers to a 3rd place finish in the 24 team GolfWeek October Classic. Buchert shot 71-74-66-211 leading him to a final score of -2 and 8th place finish. The final round of 66 ties the school record with five birdies and is his career low round.
 
Notable Performances:

• Austin Frick (Geneva, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Junior - Austin recorded a 12th-place finish out of 120 golfers at the Golfweek October Classic. Frick recorded scores of 71 (E) on all three rounds, finishing the competition with an overall score of 213 (E). Throughout the competition, he hit nine total birdies.
