LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania Men's Soccer closed a two match week with a 5-0 victory over Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) opponent Bluffton at Pat Deacon Stadium.Â
Earlier in the week, Transylvania battled Wittenberg to a tie in Springfield.
Gus Dickman, assisted by
Dylan Barnes, scored the lone goal for the Pioneers, Senior
Jackson Holt had a strong performance in the goal, recording seven saves.Â
The Pioneers carried a focused offensive effort into Pat Deacon Stadium Saturday against Bluffton, with
Dylan Barnes scoring the first goal for the Pioneers at the 13:44 minute mark.
JT Roden connected on the second Pioneer goal at the 30:13 mark, Carrying a 2-0 lead into the second half, the Pioneers would continue to showcase their offense.
McKay Wheatley and
Alvaro Gonzalez both scored in the first ten minutes of the second half to extend the lead to 4-0. At the 76:14 mark,
Cole Varela capped the victory with an impressive goal to seal the 5-0 victory for the Pioneers.Â
