CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) men's soccer teams competed in week five of the 2025 season.
Jackson Holt totaled seven saves in the mid-week draw against Wittenberg. On senior day, Holt recorded a shutout win and one save against in-conference opponent, Bluffton.

Brennan Lewis (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) Mount St. Joseph University | Forward | First Year - MSJ freshman attacker Brennan Lewis was outstanding this week for the Lions helping them to a 1-0-1 record. In the Lions 4-1 on Thursday he set season and career-highs for shots (8) and shots on goal (6) putting the Lions ahead early with a goal in the 6th minute. In the team's 2-2 tie against Anderson on Saturday he played all 90 minutes, took two shots and buried them both.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Jackson Holt Elizabethtown, Ky.) Transylvania University | Goalkeeper | Senior - In a 1-1 tie with Wittenberg, Holt recorded seven saves in the goal for the Pioneers. In the senior day victory over Bluffton, he recorded a shutout with one save in Transy's 2-0 victory.

- Wesley Lewis (Fairfield, Ohio) Anderson University | Midfielder | Sophomore - Wesley Lewis delivered the game-tying goal with 8 minutes remaining as Anderson tied Mount St. Joseph 2-2. The Ravens went 0-1-1 on the week.
- Tobore Takpor (Laplace, La.) Berea College | Forward | Junior - Tobore Takpor, a junior striker from LaPlace, Louisiana was instrumental in getting the Mountaineers back into the game with two shots on target and the game tying goal in the 83rd minute of the game against Rose Hulman.
- Patricio Campos (Cdmx., Mexico) Hanover College | Forward | Senior - Campos led the Panthers to a 2-0 week as they defeated both Franklin and Wilmington. At Wilmington, the senior helped complete a three-goal comeback, collecting an assist on the game-tying goal. He finished the week with two goals and an assist for a combined five points.
- Grant Gerber (Huntertown, Ind.) Manchester University | Defender | First Year - Grant Gerber provided a much-needed spark off the bench in the Spartans' HCAC opener. Gerber scored the loan goal of the day in the win at Earlham, posting his first goal of his collegiate career.
- Eli Miller (Indianapolis, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Forward | Sophomore - Eli Miller scored Rose-Hulman's only goal in a 1-1 tie with Berea. Miller finished the game with three total shots and two shots on goal.
- Dylan Barnes (Elizabethtown, Ky.) Transylvania University | Forward | Senior - In the 1-1 tie with Wittenberg, Barnes recorded an assist on the goal from Gus Dickman, and in a 5-0 senior day victory over Bluffton, Barnes scored the opening goal for the Pioneers.
Defensive Players:
- Blake Bobrow (New Palestine, Ind.) Anderson University | Goalkeeper | Junior - Blake Bobrow inherited a 2-0 deficit when he came in for the second half against Mount St. Joseph and shut out the Lions as Anderson rallied to a 2-2 tie. Bobrow saved each of the three shots he faced.
- Marcus Bishop (Knoxville, Tenn.) Berea College | Goalkeeper | Junior - Marcus Bishop, a junior goalkeeper from Knoxville, TN made four saves and claimed 8 crosses/corners to help the Mountaineers to a 1-1 Draw against Rose Hulman.
- Rodrigo Gutierrez Olvera Gonzalez (Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico) Hanover College | Goalkeeper | Senior - Gutierrez led the Panthers in frame as they posted a 2-0 week. The senior tallied one clean sheet and a victory as Hanover defeated Franklin 6-0. He played 127 minutes in frame.
- Will Martin (Goshen, Ind.) Manchester University | Goalkeeper | Sophomore - Will Martin anchored the Spartan defense in the HCAC opener. Martin played the full 90 minutes, tallying three saves and posting his third clean sheet of the year in Manchester's win at Earlham.
- Carson Sabers (Hamilton, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Goalkeeper | First Year - Lions freshman goalkeeper Carson Sabers helped the team to a 1-0-1 record this week. He played all 180 minutes in goal for the team allowing 3 goals (1.5 per game). He recorded 15 saves on the week.
- Landon Kangas (Plainfield, Ill.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Defender | Sophomore - Landon Kangas played in all 90 minutes of Rose-Hulman's 1-1 tie with Berea. He helped lead a defense that allowed just two shots on goal while recording multiple steals.
