CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) women's basketball teams competed in week nine of the 2025-26 season.
Athlete of the Week:
Riley Flinn (Remington, Ind.) Transylvania University | Guard | Junior -
Riley Flinn had another strong week for Transylvania. In the victory over Hanover, she recorded 17 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, but her strongest performance came against RHIT. In the win, she had 24 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
Notable Performances:
- Bella Larrison (Waldron, Ind.) Anderson University | Guard | Senior - Bella Larrison racked up averages of 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 block per game as Anderson went 1-1 on the week. During Saturday's road win against Mount St. Joseph, Larrison compiled 17 points, 11 rebounds, and one block. During Wednesday's road loss to Bluffton, Larrison provided 16 points, 10 rebounds, four steals, and one block.
- Madison Howell (Berea, Ky.) Berea College | Forward | Senior - Madison Howell recorded 13 points in the conference win against Earlham and 14 points in the conference win against Manchester. Madison hit six three-pointers combined and has been a strong contributor to Berea's four straight conference wins.
- Madison Brown (Montpelier, Ohio) Bluffton University | Guard | Senior - Madison Brown averaged a double-double of 11.0 points and 13.5 rebounds per game as Bluffton split a pair of HCAC contests for the week. She also doled out 5.0 assists per game. Brown, who leads the HCAC in scoring and is fifth in rebounding, ripped down a career-high 17 boards and doled out a career-best seven dimes in Bluffton's 73-64 win over Anderson.
- Jordan Coon (Evansville, Ind.) Franklin College | Guard | Senior - Jordan Coon was a driving force in a pair of Franklin wins as the team ascended to the top of the HCAC standings. She had 18 points, hitting 8-of-14 shots from the floor, and dished out five assists in a home victory over Manchester and then delivered 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals in 40 minutes of play as Franklin rallied for a 61-54 triumph at Bluffton. The Grizzlies, who have won nine of their last 10 and are unbeaten at home, will host league co-leader Transylvania this coming Wednesday.
- Kaitlyn Lorenzi (Brentwood, Tenn.) Hanover College | Guard/Forward | Senior - Kaitlyn Lorenzi led Hanover to a 1-1 week as it took on both Transylvania and Earlham. Lorenzi finished the week averaging 12.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. She netted 17 points at Transylvania, while pulling down nine rebounds. She followed it up with 13 rebounds and seven points at Earlham.
- Katelyn Fennell (Terre Haute, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Guard | Sophomore - Katelyn Fennell led Rose-Hulman to a 1-1 week, where it defeated Mount St. Joseph, 71-57, and lost to Transylvania, 76-48. She averaged 14.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. Fennell also shot 50.0 percent from the floor and 100.0 percent at the free throw line.
