Andrew Noah Hopkins ’49 graduated from Transylvaniaand became a highly successful football coach and athleticsadministrator in Ohio and Kentucky. His accomplishments includedbeing named Coach of the Year in both states, organizing theKentucky High School Athletic Directors Association, and winningthe Distinguished Service Award from the National High SchoolAthletic Coaches Association.
