Milly V. Rodes joined the Transylvania physical educationdepartment in 1952 and quickly earned a reputation for being aninnovator. At Transy, she taught modern dance, tennis, and physicaleducation and coached the women’s tennis team. She was alsoamong the founders of Kentucky’s first cheerleading clinic,which became the model for later camps for basketball, soccer, andtennis.
