Elaine Russell ’98 starred in basketball and fieldhockey. In field hockey, she was a team captain and the conferencemost valuable player, earning all-region recognition three times. Afour-year starter in basketball and twice named team captain, shecompleted her career ranked second in scoring with 1,664 points andfirst in rebounding with 1,085. She was Pioneer Athlete of the Yearin 1998.
