Rodes S. “Shack”Parrish ’70 was a member of the first two men’s soccerteams at Transylvania in 1968-69. A two-year letterman, he receivedthe Pioneer Award in 1969. He also supported other sports atTransylvania by serving as the school’s mascot, Peppy thePioneer. He later coached youth and high school soccer teams inParis and Bourbon County.
