Joyse Siebers ’44 organized intramural sports programs asa Transylvania student at a time when there were few opportunitiesfor women to play competitive intercollegiate athletics. Aftergraduation, she dedicated her life to teaching physical educationand dance in Lexington and New York. She also coached men’sgolf at the collegiate level.
